From Seed to Studio: Why I decided to take a leap and start my own business

As The Greenhaus Studio celebrates its first birthday, I’m taking the time to reflect on where it all started; how an idea went from seed to studio. 🌿

Truthfully, I never considered starting my own business until last year. But since 2018, I struggled with keeping and finding jobs, especially knowing each place I moved to was temporary (#militarylife, IYKYK).

  1. Passion Project

I have always loved digital art and being creative, but I never thought I could turn my hobby into a career and start a business doing what I love.

  2. Flexibility

Running my own business gives me the freedom to create a fulfilling work-life balance. I can set my own hours and ditch the 9-to-5 jobs, spend more time with my loved ones, work practically from anywhere, and customize my services to meet my clients’ unique needs.

  3. Financial Independence

I am to achieve financial independence and security, to invest in myself and my future, create a sustainable business, and enjoy the freedom to live life to the fullest.

  4. Impact

By starting my own business, I can personally make a positive impact on my clients, community, and those around me. I aim to empower others, but also grow as an individual.

  5. Stability

As a military spouse, I’m always on the move. With my own business, I finally won’t have to find a new job every 3 years. Now, I can take my career with me, no matter where we go.
